Richard Mille-RM 65-01 Automatic Seconds Chronograph

After five years of development, Richard Mille (best Richard Mille) launched the new RM 65-01 automatic chronograph, which is an automatic chronograph, leaving the Richard Mille (Richard Mille) workshop The most complicated timepiece ever.

In order to ensure excellent timing accuracy and precise stopwatch calculation accuracy (accurate to 1/10 of a second), this model is equipped with a high-frequency balance wheel and variable inertia beating at a frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour).

The instant function (also called rattrapante) makes it possible to calculate the intermediate time. This is Richard Mille’s first time on an automatic movement.

The two hands operated by this function overlap and are partially independent: the main hands are controlled by the 2 o’clock button, which starts and stops the chronograph hands. The second hand is controlled by a pusher at the 10 o’clock position, and the second hand is stopped when the chronograph is engaged to read the intermediate time. Press the button again and the second hand will return to the main chronograph hand. Both hands can be reset by pressing another button at 4 o’clock.

The dial of the RM 65-01 uses a 44.50 x 49.94 x 16.10 mm carbon TPT three-sided case (bezel, strap and back cover). The surface is micro-sprayed, polished and satin-finished with a grade 5 titanium crown and chronograph buttons. Color can enhance clarity.

Yellow represents time: hours, minutes, small seconds at 6 o’clock. Green means the date is displayed. Orange represents the sweeping second hand of the chronograph and the accumulated time of 30 minutes and 12 hours. The second hand is blue. All these functions are matched with the putter.

The fast winding button is made of the red Quartz TPT button. In fact, red is the color associated with the winding mechanism here.

In addition to automatic winding and winding with crown, this patented practical solution was also developed. By pressing 125 times on the button at 8 o’clock, the barrel will be fully wound up to guarantee up to 60 hours of autonomy (no chronograph running). richard mille RM 011 BROWN CERAMIC

The function selector on the crown allows you to switch between winding, date adjustment or hand setting each time you press it. The selected mode is indicated by a pointer at the 5 o’clock position: W for winding (red), D for date (green), and H for pointer setting (yellow).

Other details can be noted on the dial, namely the tachometer scale on the upper flange and the 1/10 second scale on the inner flange.

The integrated movement RMAC4, developed in cooperation with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, is equipped with the latest generation of seconds hand mechanism developed by Richard Mille‘s engineers.

The new 6-post scroll wheel can control the different levers of the second hand function and optimize the operation of the chronograph, thereby almost eliminating any initial jump of the chronograph second hand and reducing energy consumption.

RM 65-01 uses a newly designed variable geometry to optimize the winding motion of the rotor. Richard Mille’s unique design allows it to effectively adapt the winding mechanism to the user’s activity level in sports or non-sports environments.

By adjusting the 3-position weight, the inertia of the rotor can be changed to speed up the winding process when the arm is moving leisurely, or to slow down the rotation speed in sports activities.

The RM 65-01 chronograph has undergone a series of rigorous tests to prove its correct function in any situation, from shock and drop simulation to a 10-year accelerated aging phase that accelerates all its functions, to water resistance test and magnetic field resistance test .

The new Richard Mille RM 65-01 carbon fiber TPT automatic seconds chronograph is water-resistant to 50 meters/165 feet.
