The exclusive charm of the passage of time: IWC’s new bronze pilot’s chronograph watch

IWC copy presents a new bronze version of the 41mm Pilot’s Chronograph, with a blue dial and gold-plated hands. The bronze material will change over the years and be covered with a layer of copper green luster, making each watch exude a unique charm. The new work uses the IWC-made 69385 chronograph movement.

The case, pushers and crown of the new Pilot’s Chronograph are made of bronze, with a blue dial with soft white elements and gold-plated hands.

Chronograph watches have always been the focus of the IWC pilot collection. The mechanical timing function not only highlights the typical characteristics of tool watches, but also can be used in various situations of daily life. Launched a year ago by IWC, the easy-to-wear 41mm Pilot’s Chronograph is a new addition to the collection.

The case, pushers and crown of the new 41mm Pilot’s Chronograph (Ref. IW388109) are made of bronze, with a blue dial with soft white elements and gold-plated hands. The bronze material is a special alloy composed of copper, aluminum and iron. Its hardness is about 50% higher than that of ordinary brass, and it also has good biocompatibility. Bronze develops a unique patina over time, giving each watch a different personality and appearance.
