Deconstructing Time: HYT Watches

Destroyed Time: HYT fake Watches

HYT was founded in 2002 on the shores of a Swiss lake in the famous traditional watchmaking area.

In a small universe where lakes mirror the Swiss Alps, Lucien Vouillamoz had the somewhat crazy idea of using modern technology to bring the water clock back to life. To this end, he brought in Patrick Berdoz, a business angel who already had some experience in the field of intellectual property protection. Vouillamoz made the necessary investments and then turned to high-tech start-up specialist Emmanuel Savioz to launch HYT. After a year of research and development, the original idea was honed, and the brand produced its first watch featuring a rectangular plexiglass capillary with a pull-down membrane and flexible reservoir in a transparent cylinder. Once the design was complete, HYT’s sister company Preciflex in Bienne applied for a patent. However, when Vincent Perriard was named CEO of the brand in 2010,

Surrounded by an excellent team, the competent CEO revised different structural elements and visited Bruno Moutarlier, former industrial manager of Audemars Piguet. To make the movement, he hired the services of Jean-François Mojon and his team from Chronode. He also advises Vouillamoz on the hydraulics (i.e. fluids) side, which is overseeing production in partnership with Helbling Technik. Xavier Casals, an acquaintance of Perriard, was appointed artistic director, while the “Etude & Style” office, headed by Sébastien Perret, was in charge of designing the models. This fusion of skills resulted in two powerful models, produced in multiple versions. We will now discuss the last of them: H2. Discount watches

H1 and H2 are always fluid
The young Swiss watchmaking brand took inspiration from water clocks to create this collection. We believe this will cause a dramatic change in popular perception as it redefines the limits set by haute horlogerie to show that today’s liquids are still capable of using high technology to tell the time. The dials of the H1 and H2 are always as simple as possible. On the H1, we find a bellows mechanism, a glass tube and a power reserve indicator and permanent seconds hand, which can be read by a paddle wheel on the dial.
