IWC new ceramic pilot watch
IWC launches new ceramic pilot watch
The annual cooperation with Lawrence continues, this time we got a blue ceramic case.
IWC continues the tradition of cooperating with Lawrence Sports for the release of limited edition watches, and announced the latest blue collaboration model-this time it is bluer than ever. The past version used a blue dial, and various case materials (from steel to black ceramic) featured various IWC replica watches. This is the first version to use a colored ceramic case. The best part of it is that it is also blue! The same is true for watch straps! Some people call it Eifel 65, and I found their perfect watch.
This timepiece takes the form of a Mark XVIII automatic pilot’s watch. On the one hand, the conventionally produced Mark watch has a diameter of 40 mm, while the diameter of this watch is 41 mm (such as the ceramic Top Gun version). The 100-meter waterproof case is equipped with IWC’s self-made 32111 calibre. Its five-day power reserve is hidden behind a soft iron cage-to prevent the influence of magnetic fields-and IWC’s iconic closed back cover.
However, you will not find an engraving inspired by aviation on the back of this special watch. Instead, you will find the winning design in a drawing competition organized by IWC, created by 12-year-old Melissa Mejía Castilla from Colombia. This work is called “Vivir en Armonía” (Life in Peace).
IWC likes to make blue watches. In addition to LE, which collaborates with Lawrence every year, the brand is also known for its blue dial “Le Petit Prince” pilot watch series. fake IWC knows a thing or two about blues.
Although an annual release like this may be a bit boring, IWC has put out this spectacular blue ceramic case to eliminate this idea-as if we have not been shocked by the Mojave ceramic model.
This is a release, if blue is not your color, this will not be your watch. But maybe, just maybe, the reason behind this work might make you see a new shade of blue. Lauureus Sport for Good is a foundation that supports more than 250 projects in more than 50 countries/regions around the world. It uses sports to improve the lives of children and young people, and to end violence, discrimination and disadvantage worldwide.
Since 2006, IWC and Lawrence have been releasing limited editions with blue themes-but never so blue. The ceramic case has completely changed the watch. Honestly, let me hope that the Mark series can do more experiments in the colored ceramic case (maybe white?). fake watches for sale
Of course, this case is not a picnic. The special deep blue color of ceramics is the product of a complex manufacturing process by which powdered zirconia is mixed with other metal oxides, shaped, and then sintered in a furnace. According to IWC, “Colored ceramics place extremely high requirements on the quality and purity of raw materials.”
The new automatic version of the IWC Pilot’s Watch “Laureus Sport for Good” is equipped with a blue rubber strap with fabric inlays. It is a watch that makes me very excited. I look forward to seeing it with my own eyes soon. Until then, I will have IWC Ceramic Blues-this time, it is a good thing.
