SevenFriday watch size comparison
SevenFriday made a unique watch with a slightly larger size: 47mm x 47.6mm. The current thickness of all models is 13 mm, which is the standard configuration of non-chronograph automatic watches.
Usually, if I hear a 47mm watch, then I know it is not suitable for my thin 6.6-inch wrist… But these symmetrical cases can work.
Since there are no visible lugs and only 47mm in height, it can be used on my wrist!
At the beginning of the comparison, the height from lug to lug, the height of the standard Panerai Luminor 44mm is 53mm, which makes it 6mm longer on the wrist than SevenFriday. Smaller wrists may have lugs that hang on their wrists. These lugs may look wrong and cause the wristband to fail to fit. The Chronomat Evolution is also 44mm, but not as high as 51mm.
It should be noted that our measurements (almost everyone in the watch industry) do not include the crown.
Compared to the high-quality Rolex Datejust 36mm, it may look large, but many of our customers still don’t wear the traditional Datejust. I? I wear it all! The height of Datejust is 44 mm, so it is not too far from the height of SevenFriday. The modern Submariner is 40 mm wide and 48 mm high.
The Omega Seamaster comes in a variety of styles and sizes. The Planet Ocean XL (now called “large size”) is 45.5 mm wide, 52 mm high, and 15 mm thick. Tudor Pelagos sits 42 mm high and 50 mm high. Based on my observations on the size and style trends of American watches, Pelagos is the best choice for all sizes. .Small wrists are as happy to wear as big wrists.
The Bell & Ross instrument series has 3 sizes (S 39mm not shown). The BR 03 series is 42 mm wide and 51.5 mm high. The lugs of BR 01 are 46mm wide and 55mm wide! Looking at these three watches side by side, it reminds us that the curved edges of SevenFriday also help make the size appear to be more modest than the size suggests.
The last shot, plus 116610 Sub, plus a Graham Silverstone Vintage 30 that can shake 47mm wide and 55mm high.
